Minty Lavender Lip Balm
Fill a pan with a couple of inches of water and heat it on medium low.
- Add 1/2 ounce (approx 2 Tablespoons) each of Shea butter, coconut oil, and beeswax to a clean, dry heat-proof 16 ounce glass measuring cup.
- Place the measuring cup in the pan. Melt on low heat, stirring occasionally until the contents is fully melted and combined. About 10 minutes.
- Remove the pan from the heat to allow it to cool slightly. Be sure to keep the measuring cup in the hot water or the mixture will begin to harden too quickly!
- Have your lip balm tubes or tins ready for filling.
- Add 15-20 drops of essential oils to the melted mixture and stir well. Try different combinations; an example would be 7-10 drops each of lavender and peppermint.
- Immediately fill your containers and allow to cool at room temperature until firm.
- Be sure to wait to place the lids until the tins are comletely cooled and firm.
